AI UGC vs human creators: which should your brand use?

AI UGC Studio · 5 November 2026

We make AI ads, so you'd expect us to say AI wins every time. It doesn't. Here's an honest comparison.

Where AI ads win

  • No product shipping. A few clear photos are enough.
  • Speed. New hooks and versions in days, not weeks.
  • Usage rights. No creator to renegotiate with when you want to run the ad as a paid campaign.
  • Testing. Three versions with three different openings cost far less than three shoots.
  • Seasonal versions. Christmas, summer and sale cut-downs from the same assets.

Where real creators win

  • Genuine testimonials. If you want a real customer's real opinion, that must come from a real person. An AI presenter should never be passed off as a genuine customer.
  • Products that must be felt on camera, like a very specific fabric stretch or a complex demonstration, are sometimes easier to film.
  • Creator audiences. If you want the creator to post to their own followers, you need a real creator.

The smart approach

Many brands use both: AI ads for fast testing and volume, real creators for genuine reviews. When an AI-made concept wins, you know exactly which idea to brief a creator on.

Tell us about your product and we'll tell you honestly which route makes more sense.
